As rays of the sun broke through the Sunday morning sky in the Klang Valley, 80 avid golfers made their way to the prestigious Palm Garden Golf Club, Putrajaya. They were the selected few who were privileged to be invited to participate in the Malakoff Golf Invitational (Media) tournament on 29 April 2012.

The friendly tournament was a way for us to thank the media partners for their relentless support and coverage of Malakoff’s activities over the years. It was also a good avenue for us to catch up with them in a more relaxed environment, as part of our engagement with our stakeholders.

The participants were divided into two groups – Media and Malakoff. Imran Mohd Nor (Utusan Malaysia) came out tops for the Media with 39 points, followed by Yusof Hamid (RTM) and Hamzah Md Som (Bernama).

Azharuddin Nordin (MMC) was the Malakoff group champion with 38 points, followed by Datuk Haji Hasni Harun (Group Managing Director, MMC) and Datuk Muhammad Nor Hamid (Director, Malakoff) in second and third placings, respectively.

Prizes were presented by Dato’ Wira Syed Abdul Jabbar Syed Hassan, Chairman of Malakoff and Encik Zainal Abidin Jalil, Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff.
