Malakoff Corporation Berhad (“Malakoff”) successfully launched the third cohort of its prestigious Leadership Development Programme on 27 May 2024, followed by the fourth cohort on 29 May 2024. This initiative leverages the outstanding success of last year's cohorts, underscoring Malakoff's dedication to fostering the development of future leaders, ensuring they possess the skills and vision necessary to lead the company.
Malakoff has chosen 23 high-potential (“HiPO”) talents for each cohort, bringing a total of 46 participants for this year through a meticulous selection process. These individuals come from various departments and locations, including Malakoff Headquarter (“Malakoff HQ”), Tanjung Bin Power Plant (“TBPP”), Tanjung Bin Energy Power Plant (“TBE”), Prai Power Plant (“PPP”) and Lumut Power Plant (“LPP”), bringing diverse experiences and backgrounds into the mix.
Throughout these six months of intensive training, every cohort will complete four modules, with each consisting of two days of comprehensive classroom training followed by a day of follow-up coaching. Participants are required to submit reflective journals to document their learning experiences. The programme begins with Module 1 - Strategic & Visionary Thinking and concludes with a Leadership Showcase and Graduation Day, highlighting the participants' growth and achievements. As a result, participants are hoped to emerge with strengthened leadership competencies and dedication to spearheading transformative change within the organisation.
As participants from the first two cohorts demonstrated significant milestones in their leadership abilities, a high benchmark has been set for future participants to strive towards excellence, showcasing the program's effectiveness in fostering leadership skills.
This initiative highlights Malakoff’s dedication to leadership development. By investing in the professional growth of its employees, Malakoff not only enhances individual career paths but also ensures the organisation's long-term success and sustainability. This aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (“UN SDG”) No. 17, which strengthens the means of implementation and revitalises the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development. It is also in line with Malakoff’s overarching purpose of ‘Enhancing Life, Enriching Communities.
Stay tuned for more updates as Malakoff embarks on this exciting journey together, fostering a culture of continuous learning and leadership development.
