Segari Power Plant
Capacity

  • Generating capacity of 1,303 MW; effective capacity of 1,222 MW

Ownership

  • Co-owned by Malakoff (93.75%) and Employees Provident Fund (6.25%)​

  • Perak, Malaysia​

Commencement date

  • July 1996 (first block) and January 1997 (second block)​

Plant description

  • Two blocks of Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) each with a capacity of 651.5 MW​

  • Three Alstom Power gas turbines and one steam turbine per block​

Offtaker

  • 21-year PPA with TNB with a 10-year extension​

Fuel supply

  • Natural gas supply contract with PETRONAS that matches life of PPA​

Kapar Power Plant
