Back Datuk Prakash Chandran Madhu Sudanan Independent Non-Executive Director Datuk Prakash Chandran Madhu Sudanan, an Indian citizen, male, was appointed to the Board of the Company as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 1 March 2023. He is also a member of the Board Audit Committee, Board Risk and Investment Committee and Board Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Datuk Prakash holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from University of Kerala, India in 1985. He is also certified as a professional electrical engineer in Australia by ENGINEERS Australia. In 2017, he was admitted into the Court of Emeritus Fellows of the Malaysian Institute of Management (“MIM”). Datuk Prakash began his career as Project Engineer in Crompton Greaves Ltd, India in 1986 and later joined ABB Industrial & Building Systems Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia holding the position of General Manager and several other roles from 1990 to 1996. He then joined Siemens Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Siemens Malaysia) holding the position of Senior Vice President, Power Transmission & Distribution (PTD) and other positions in PTD from 1996 to 2008. He was the Executive Vice President & Head of Siemens Energy Sector, ASEAN from August 2008 to July 2011. In 2009, he was the first Asian to take over as the President & CEO of Siemens Malaysia,a role he kept till January 2018. Datuk Prakash then moved on as the President Director & CEO of PT. Siemens Indonesia from October 2017 until September 2021. In terms of Board membership, Datuk Prakash was a director of Siemens Limited Thailand from 2009 to 2012 and a member of Board of Commissioners of PT. Java Power Indonesia and PT. Siemens Mobility Indonesia for several years during his stint in Indonesia. Datuk Prakash received the Malaysian Leadership Excellence Award from MIM in 2016, the Brandlaureate Brand ICON Leadership Award as “Transformational Corporate Leader” in 2014 and the “Life at Work” Organisational Award from Talent Corporation Malaysia in 2014.

Sharing important news and updates for you and the community Back Malakoff Receives 3 Gold Awards at MSOSH OSH Award 2018 31 July 2019 On 1 August 2019, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) received 3 awards at the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Award 2018 held at One World Hotel, Bandar Utama, Kuala Lumpur. The awards are Gold Merit for Prai Power Plant (PPP), Gold Class 1 for Lumut Power Plant (LPP) and Gold Class 2 for Tanjung Bin Power Plant (TBPP), all under the Utility Sector Category. The Award was presented by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Mahfuz Omar, Deputy Minister of Human Resources cum Chairman of National for Occupational Safety and Health, to En. Mohammed Azmil Ismail, Acting Head of Local Generation Division (LGD) on behalf of Malakoff. Also in attendance were PPP Plant Manager, En. Lan Sulkaimy Md Yusof, LPP Plant Manager, En. Mohd Salehuddin Abu Bakar and TBPP Plant Manager, En. Mohd Kopli Yunus. This is the first time that Malakoff participated in the MSOSH OSH Award. The MSOSH OSH Award is an annual event presented to organisations in Malaysia with effective and commendable OSH performance as validated by a panel of qualified auditors. The auditors comprise of representatives from MSOSH, Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO), National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), SIRIM Berhad, Malaysian Employer Federation (MEF) and Federation of Malaysia Manufacturers (FMM). Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad Kenali, Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff congratulated Team Malakoff on the Awards and emphasised that “we must continuously embrace the industry’s best practice and inculcate health and safety culture at all levels of the organisation until it becomes second nature.” “We must at all times adhere to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that we do not only comply with relevant regulations but more importantly to eliminate the risk of safety incidents.” In 2018, LPP won the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH) Excellence Award for the “Electricity Facility” category while PPP won the National Occupational Safety and Health (NOSH) Excellence Award in 2017 for the “Energy Facility” category based on their excellent OSH practices. Both awards were presented by DOSH under the Ministry of Human Resources.

Sharing important news and updates for you and the community Back Pusat Pengajian Komunikasi Usm Menandatangani Perjanjian Persefahaman Dengan Malakoff 4 April 2010 Pusat Pengajian Komunikasi (PPK) Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) telah mengadakan Program “Immersion Project, Appreciation, and Tribute” (IMPACT) 2010 yang telah dirasmikan oleh Naib Canselor Universiti Sains Malaysia. Program ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan satu platform kepada penuntut-penuntut tahun akhir untuk mempamerkan hasil kerja mereka, memberi peluang kepada masyarakat USM khususnya dan orang awam untuk mengenali PPK selain daripada mendekatkan hubungan dengan industri media tempatan, agensi-agensi kerajaan dan badan korporat. Dalam menjayakan program ini, PPK USM telah mengatur pelbagai aktiviti seperti ceramah kerjaya, pendedahan kepada tren terkini dalam industri media, sesi temuduga dan sebagainya. Program-program seperti ini diharapkan dapat menjadi satu platform untuk para pelajar mempersiapkan diri dan mendapat gambaran realiti dunia pekerjaan hari ini yang bakal mereka tempuhi setelah mereka menamatkan pengajian mereka kelak. Sehubungan dengan itu, satu perjanjian persefahaman telah ditandatangani di antara Pusat Pengajian Komunikasi (PPK) Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) dengan Malakoff Corporation Berhad (MCB) untuk menempatkan pelajar-pelajar dari PPK menjalani latihan industri di Malakoff. Perjanjian itu ditandatangani oleh Professor Omar Osman dari USM dan diwakili oleh En. Yusop Abdul Rashid dari Malakoff.

Back Power Plant Portfolio Malakoff as the largest Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the country, will leverage on its stellar reputation in the marketplace to pursue potential investments in the thermal power generation section. Portfolio Thermal Thermal Tanjung Bin Power Plant One of the largest privately-owned coal-fired plants in Southeast Asia, Tanjung Bin Power Plant has a generating capacity of 2,100 MW and is 90.0% owned by Malakoff Corporation Berhad and 10.0% owned by EPF. The power generated from Tanjung Bin Power Plant is transmitted through a 53 km 500 kV double circuit transmission line from Tanjung Bin substation to the Bukit Batu substation and a 54 km 275 kV double circuit transmission line from the Tanjung Bin substation to the Gelang Patah substation, both are located in Johor, Malaysia. These transmission lines and related facilities are owned, operated and maintained by TNB. Tanjung Bin Energy Power Plant Located at the same complex as Tanjung Bin Power Plant, Tanjung Bin Energy Power Plant has the generating capacity of 1,000 MW and officially commenced operation in 2016. The power generated from Tanjung Bin Energy Power Plant shares power transmission infrastructure with Tanjung Bin Power Plant with some expansions including a 500 kV transmission line from the Tanjung Bin substation to the Bukit Batu substation, one transmission line between the 500 kV and 275 kV sections of the Tanjung Bin substation, two 500 kV substation bays and the implementation of an additional support system to accommodate the combined complex’s increased power generation capacity. These transmission lines and related facilities are owned, operated and maintained by TNB. Segari Energy Ventures (SEV) Power Plant With an electricity generating capacity of 1,303 MW, SEV Power Plant located in Perak, delivers electrical energy and make generating capacity available to TNB. The project is currently owned by Malakoff with a stake of 93.75%. GB3 Power Plant Also located in Segari, Perak, GB3 constructs, owns, operates and maintains an electricity generating plant and, while operating initially in an open cycle mode with three gas turbines each with a nominal capacity of 143 MW, it was subsequently converted into a combined cycle plant with an aggregate nominal capacity of 640 MW to generate and deliver electrical energy and make generating capacity available to TNB. *PPA has already expired Prai Power Plant Prai Power Plant, which is a 350 MW power plant located in Prai, Penang, Malaysia is one of the most efficient natural gas-fueled power plants in the country, based on thermal efficiency. The plant, which uses one GE gas turbine and one steam turbine, commenced operations in 2003. Power generated from the Prai Power Plant is transmitted through a 0.65 km 132 kV transmission line from the TNB main intake 132 kV gas-insulated switchgear substation.

Sharing important news and updates for you and the community Back Kakitangan Port Dickson Power Berhad berganding bahu menaik taraf Makmal Komputer SK Port Dickson 19 August 2015 Pada 20 Ogos 2015, Port Dickson Power Berhad (PDP), loji janakuasa milik sepenuhnya Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) telah dijemput ke “Majlis Perasmian Makmal Komputer SK Port Dickson” sebagai tanda penghargaan di atas usaha warga kerja PDP dalam melaksanakan program “Tanggungjawab Sosial Korporat” (CSR) di sekolah tersebut. Majlis perasmian tersebut dimulakan dengan ucapan alu-aluan oleh Puan Maimunah binti Samek, Guru Besar SK Port Dickson. “Kami berbesar hati dan terharu apabila pihak Port Dickson Power sudi menaja dan mengerah tenaga untuk merealisasikan impian anak murid sekolah cluster ini. Hasrat mereka untuk memiliki sebuah makmal komputer yang lebih baik telah tercapai,” ujar beliau. Encik Nordin bin Kassim, Naib Presiden Kanan Bahagian Operasi dan Penyelenggaraan Malakoff Power Berhad telah merasmikan majlis tersebut yang disaksikan oleh Puan Maimunah, wakil Pegawai Pendidikan Daerah Port Dickson, guru dan murid SK Port Dickson. Dalam program CSR ini, seramai 20 orang warga kerja Malakoff telah secara sukarela membantu membaik pulih makmal komputer di sekolah tersebut. Antara kerja-kerja yang dilakukan adalah servis hawa dingin, mengecat dinding dan membuat pendawaian semula. Kesemua kerja ini telah berjaya dilaksanakan dalam masa 3 hari, bermula 3 hingga 5 Ogos 2015. En. Sankar MK. Samy, Pengurus Loji Janakuasa Port Dickson berkata beliau gembira dengan hasil baik pulih makmal komputer tersebut. “Saya bangga dengan komitmen dan kemampuan yang ditonjolkan oleh kakitangan saya untuk kerja amal ini. Hasil kerja amal ini dapat membantu mewujudkan makmal komputer yang lebih kondusif untuk proses pembelajaran anak murid di sekolah tersebut.” PDP telah menaja sebanyak RM5,000 untuk kos naik-taraf makmal komputer SK Port Dickson untuk program CSR kali ini.
